Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen played crucial roles in the Celtics’ comeback Friday night in San Antonio as they returned to the rotation. Garnett (10 points, four rebounds) helped the Celts catch the Spurs in the third and Allen (19 points) put them over the top with clutch shooting in the fourth as Boston edged the Spurs 80-77 Friday night.
Rajon Rondo played well in the backcourt, directing traffic, scoring 16 points and dishing out 12 assists. Glen Davis (five points) hit a basket with 5.7 seconds remaining to clinch the game for the Celtics.
